A car i never knew existed until i found one for sale on cl tonight. I suppose there might be a reason why. I mean, its looks dont quite ooze desire. But i find it clever the headlights look like its tail lights. And i would never have known this was a del sol and mx3 competitor.
the more you know.

They were the replacement for the Pulsar NX an equally cool looking car, but in a much boxier way. I almost bought one a few months ago, an NX2000 actually, but it was obliviously not well maintained(read as hooned and riced out). I really do like the look of these little cars though.
Heres a Pulsar NX

iirc , those were sport-ish-y rebodied Sentras .

They had the running gear from a Sentra but weighed more and were much less useful. They were very popular for the girls in my High School to have in the mid-late 90s. The T-tops all sprung horrid leaks even when they were fairly new. Haven't seen one on the road in a long time.
I'd go with a similar vintage SE-R before I'd touch one of these.

My sister had one of these in college, it was a great car and she never had a single problem with it. She got T-boned in it by a drunk driver in a Cadillac right in the Passenger door and the door was pretty heavily damaged but it had a side intrusion bar that held up and really saved her from serious injury. You could see above and below the bar where the door was caved in 5 or 6 inches but that bar kept the drunk Cadillac from crushing her. I can remember being amazed at how well it held up and of course being thankful that my sister wasn't injured or killed.

Ive never seen one of these on the road. Now ill be on high alert for it haha.
T top part i thought was hilarious because hondas del sol had the removable top. So they had to do something to return fire.
SE-R all day before this, thats for sure.

phew! Glad she made it out okay. Having an accident especially like hers in a car like that is questionable at best. Side impacts like that always worry me a bit.

I once pulled a guy out of one of those and beat him senseless. He was punching his wife and she was screaming for help. She later attacked me with her shoe.
